T.R. Reid is a longtime foreign correspondent for The Washington Post and former chief of its Tokyo and London bureaus, a commentator for National Public Radio, and the author of 10 books. He has recently published a critically-acclaimed and best-selling book on global health care entitled The Healing of America: A Global Quest for Better, Cheaper, and Fairer Health Care. T.R. Reid also made a documentary, Sick Around the World, for the PBS Frontline program in 2008.

This event is free and open to the public. With this event, the Language, Culture, and Communication Department is launching a Global Cultures initiative.
