In celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Day, Dr. Angela Davis, famous African American freedom movement activist and scholar, will speak at the University of Michigan Ann Arbor. And her talk will be live-streamed to the UM-Dearborn campus.
Angela Davis, Distinguished Professor Emerita from the University of California Santa Cruz, is internationally known for her decades of work fighting oppression of all forms. She particularly urges us to think about a world without prisons and discusses alternatives to the American prison industrial complex.
Free and open to the public.
