Public Observing Session - The Crescent Moon
When: July 12, 2013, 09:30 PM - 11:00 PM
Friday
Where: Observatory SLRC

The beautiful crescent Moon will hang in the western sky just after sunset tonight. Come use one of the Observatory's telescopes to see the mountains and craters of the Moon up close! Later in the evening we will look at the star clusters in Hercules and Cygnus.

Observing sessions require suitable sky conditions. To learn the status of any event, call the observatory hotline at
313-583-6566 or check the observatory's web site beginning one hour prior to the scheduled start time. Inclement weather or other unforeseen adverse circumstances may cause the cancellation of a scheduled event.

Observing sessions are held outdoors. Please dress appropriately for personal comfort during your visit.
